The Mets were one of just six teams in action last night, and Mark Vientos stayed hot with another multi-hit game.

We have a full slate and several favorable spots on Tuesday. I will be backing a few more hitters, including Jonathan India and Jorge Soler.

Let's dive into our MLB player props for Tuesday, July 2.

MLB Player Props

  • Mark Vientos Over 1.5 Total Bases (+105, DraftKings)
  • Jonathan India Over 1.5 Total Bases (+170, FanDuel)
  • Jorge Soler Over 1.5 Total Bases (+105, DraftKings)

Mark Vientos Over 1.5 Total Bases (+105)

After being roughed up for six runs against the Mets last month, MacKenzie Gore returned the favor last night, allowing one earned run while punching out eight in 5 2/3 innings.

However, Mark Vientos doubled off him in the fourth inning. When he came up again in the sixth inning, Gore was pulled before he could face Vientos again, who laced a single into left field to drive in a run.

Vientos finished last night's game 2-for-4 for his fifth multi-hit game in his last 11 games. In that span, he has hit three doubles and five home runs. As a result, he has recorded two total bases in seven of his past 11 games.

Now 2-for-5 against Gore, Vientos will take his swings against another young Nationals' left-hander in D.J. Herz.

Against left-handed pitchers, Vientos is hitting .364 with a 1.117 OPS, and 10 of his 20 hits against them are going for extra bases- six doubles and four home runs.

Seven of the 19 hits Herz has allowed to right-handed hitters have gone for extra bases, as they have a .801 OPS against him.  He made his MLB debut against the Mets last month, allowing four runs on seven hits in four innings. Herz was flawless against the Marlins, striking out 13 while allowing one hit in six innings. However, he has failed to get out of the fifth inning in his other four starts, so Vientos may only get 2 ABs against him. Vientos may already have two total bases by then, especially if he shows off his power again — he's +300 to hit a home run on FanDuel tonight.

Jonathan India Over 1.5 Total Bases (+170)

In June, Jonathan India hit .380, drove in 16 runs and began a few remarkable streaks.

Recently, India recorded two hits in eight consecutive games. That ended on Sunday, but India extended a hitting streak that has now stretched to 12 games. His lone hit on Sunday was a double, which also was his eighth straight game with a double, and he has 11 in that span.

This led India to record two total bases in 10 straight games, averaging 3.3 per game during the stretch.

Yet, India remains +165 for two or more bases on Tuesday.

India has a tough matchup against Luis Gil. However, Gil has allowed 12 earned runs in his last two starts, seven of which have come in the first two innings. He has a .169 opposing batting average, but leadoff hitters are hitting .238 against him. India will likely bat leadoff once again tonight.

The Yankees have allowed a run in the first inning in nine of their past 14 games. If India starts the rally, he may cash this prop early.

Whether he hits another double or has another multi-hit game, I like his chances of recording two bases tonight.

Jorge Soler Over 1.5 Total Bases (+105)

The Giants are heading to Atlanta, having won five of their last seven games. Their offense came alive against the Dodgers, scoring 22 runs in a three-game set.

Jorge Soler was a factor in the series, driving in two runs on five hits, four of which were doubles. Soler has now hit cashed his bases prop in three of the past four games.

He returns to Atlanta on Tuesday, battling his former team. After a midseason trade, Soler helped the Braves win the World Series in 2021 and took home World Series MVP. Soler is hitting .294 with nine home runs, 21 RBI, and a .944 OPS in 41 career games at SunTrust Park.

He may be even more comfortable seeing Reynaldo Lopez on the mound tonight.

Soler is 12-for-19 (.632) with three doubles, three home runs, eight runs batted in, and a 1.930 OPS lifetime against Lopez. The right-hander is enjoying a strong season, but he has allowed 10 doubles to right-handed hitters — that alone would give Soler two bases.

He is +320 to hit a double on FanDuel and +420 to hit a home run if you prefer to back him for Dinger Tuesday.
