Wednesday's slate gets started early, and that means we get to see Tylor "Big Drip" Megill take the mound this afternoon against the Miami Marlins. Megill has been solid for the Mets at the backend of the rotation, but he's getting a bit too much respect against a strikeout-prone Marlins lineup on a cold day in New York.

Megill is heavily reliant on his fastball, and the weather will make him more reliant on the pitch as getting a grip on his off-speed pitches is going to be a challenge. The Marlins have shown they'll strikeout a ton, but their lineup has decent numbers against fastballs, which should allow them to put the ball in play before being down in the count.

As for Megill, this number is a tad too high for him in this spot. He went under this number in 67% of his starts last season and has continued that trend through the first two starts of this season.

Look for him to make it three straight unders this afternoon.

Dodgers vs Nationals Player Props: Irvin Faces Tough Task

Next, we get to back the most daunting lineup in baseball by fading Nationals' starter Jake Irvin. Getting through the Dodgers' lineup twice is no easy task, and it's one that should prove difficult for Irvin as he has been hit hard through his first two starts of 2025.

Irvin enters this outing with an xERA of 11.56 and an xBA against of .379. While those numbers are in a very small sample size, they are not the trends you want to take into an outing against the Dodgers.

Irvin has yet to pitch past the fifth against good lineups — like the Phillies and Diamondbacks — but with the Dodgers being his toughest assignment yet, getting through the fifth is the question this afternoon.
