Check out my two favorite MLB props from Friday's three postseason games, courtesy of our Action Labs projections.
Our Action Labs Props Tool grades each prop on a scale from 1-10, and I’ll be sure to include the grade for each of my betting recommendations in my discussions below.
Ronald Acuña Jr. Over 1.5 Total Bases (+138)
Braves vs. Phillies | Phillies -110 |
First Pitch | 4:38 p.m. ET |
Best Line | BetRivers |
I would keep an eye on the news before betting on this prop. The fastball Acuña took off the arm yesterday might keep him out of today's game, although I highly doubt it.

If Acuña is okay, he's been red hot and I expect him to put on a performance this afternoon.
Acuña is already 4-for-7 with a double and just one strikeout during this series. He's also walked once and recorded on HBP, as you could see above.
More importantly, Acuña has had six batted balls in nine plate appearances during this NLDS. Every single ball has had an exit velocity of over 96.8mph, with an average of 101.9mph. That's a 100% Hard-Hit rate.
Acuña is destroying the ball right now. He's making contact and it's almost always hard contact, and that's a good way to rack up base totals.
I like his matchup today, too. Acuña is 13-for-36 lifetime against Phillies' starter Aaron Nola with eight extra-base hits. He has a 92.4mph avg. Exit Velocity on those batted balls with a 13.1-degree avg. Launch Angle, which equates to a .651 xSLG.
Acuña has cashed his total bases mark in four of the last six games against the Phillies, racking up 18 bases during this recent stretch.
I'll take Acuña to go over that number one more time.
Pick: Over 1.5 TBs (+138)
Blake Snell Under 6.5 Strikeouts (-126)
Dodgers vs. Padres | Dodgers -126 |
First Pitch | 8:37 p.m. ET |
Best Line | FanDuel |
If you want to fade the Dodgers, do it against a lefty. Considering Blake Snell is a lefty who trended up in the second half and has a history of success against the Dodgers.
This looks like a good spot to fade the Dodgers.
But this line is too high.
Snell has failed to hit this line in three straight starts. He struggled against the New York Mets, having accumulated over 65 pitches before he got out of the third inning.
Moreover, Snell has failed to hit this number in his last two starts against the Dodgers, both at PetCo. He needed nine total innings to strike out 10 Dodgers. I think Snell struggles to get to seven against the Dodgers in a Postseason game — at least the way he is pitching.
Moreover, the Dodgers have held six of the last nine opposing left-handed pitchers under their strikeout totals.
Finally, the projection systems have Snell staying under. Our Action Labs Player Props tool projects Snell for 6.1 strikeouts, as does FanGraphs SaberSim projections.
The value is on the under.
Pick: Under 6.5 Ks (-122)
Action Labs Grade: 7/10
