Grayson Rodriguez has been the pitching+ king of the American League thus far.
Since he returned in July of last season, he has a 1.09 pitching+ and 116 stuff+. When taking in all of his elite metrics, I push him closer to the "ace" category and think he's one of the best starters in baseball. On the other side, Griffin Canning has shown multiple red flags early in the year.
Canning already has an 8.05 ERA and a drop in velocity and stuff+ from a season ago. I've downgraded Canning and upgraded Rodriguez and because I see a bigger gap between these pitchers than in the bullpens, I'm going with the first five innings moneyline.

Sean and I are in agreement here as I like the Orioles in the full game.
When we get into Canning, his fastball just isn't any good. He only has a 67 stuff+ on the fastball, which is one of the worst 4-seamers in all of baseball. He is giving up 2.4 home runs per nine innings this year through four starts. He came into this season with a bit of a home run problem and the poor fastball has made matters worse.
This Angels lineup is young and has a lot to improve on, so I will also be on the Orioles.
Stay up to date on the Action app because there is a potential "Dinger Tuesday" pick I am eyeing on the Orioles tonight.
