The ice-cold Atlanta Braves (1-8) host the red-hot Philadelphia Phillies (7-2) in an NL East battle on Tuesday night at Truist Park. First pitch is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. on TBS.
Phillies-Braves on Tuesday night features a battle of aces as Zack Wheeler takes on Chris Sale. Phillies vs Braves odds have the Braves as-118 moneyline favorites and Phils as -102 underdogs. The game total is 7 (-105o / -115u).
Below, you can find my Phillies vs Braves prediction for Tuesday night, in addition to my three-leg parlay picks, the latest odds, probable starting pitchers and more.
- F5 Under 3.5
- Zack Wheeler Over 7.5 Strikeouts
- First 5 Innings (F5) Result: Tie.
Parlay Odds: +890
For a matchup where I expect both offenses to be stagnant, this is a good opportunity to take a long-shot SGP. Both pitchers are likely to duel here, so a +360 price on both teams to tie after five innings is a solid wager.
I also like Wheeler's strikeouts at plus money given that the Braves continue to strike out at a high rate. It’s a small sample size, but they struck out the eighth most in baseball last season.Wheeler has dominated them in the past, so I think this is a good opportunity to grab it at the current price.
I don’t really like any hitter props in this matchup, so I think this is a strong, pitcher-centered correlated parlay that could pay off.

Phillies vs Braves Preview, Prediction, Pick
Both starting pitchers have excellent numbers against each offense. Wheeler has faced these Braves hitters in over 250 plate appearances combined, and Atlanta is only batting .195 against him.
Wheeler remains one of the game’s best starting pitchers and will now face a struggling Braves offense. The overall talent of the Braves is not the issue, but they happen to be in the midst of a tough stretch.
Ozzie Albies, Matt Olson and Marcell Ozuna each have two career home runs off Wheeler, but overall, they’ve struggled. Wheeler should dominate tonight.
I like Sale’s matchup tonight as well. The Phillies are batting .218 against Sale lifetime, with just one home run in 78 plate appearances.
Sale's early season metrics suggest he still has plenty left in the tank. He is not allowing hard contact and is generating plenty of swings outside the strike zone.
I wouldn’t be too concerned about his first start of the season, as he looked much sharper in his second start. Sale has a strong path to success tonight.
The best betting approach for this game is an F5 Innings Under. Given the elite pitching matchup, I’d prefer to eliminate any late-game bullpen variance.
Both offenses will struggle early against these starters. Even if either pitcher allows a stray home run, I don’t expect many base runners in the early innings.
Both pitchers limit hard contact well and do an excellent job of avoiding free passes. I love this under tonight.
Pick: F5 Under 3.5 (Play to -130)
