Shayne Trail breaks down his favorite NRFI/YRFI bets of the day below, but you can follow all of his bets in the Action Network app.
Matchup | C. Javier (Astros) vs. A. Nola (Phillies) |
First Pitch | 8:03 p.m. ET |
After an amazing seven-run offensive performance in Game 3 from the Philadelphia Phillies, the Houston Astros will send out Christian Javier looking to right the ship.
Javier was very proficient in the regular season toward the NRFI, posting a 19-6 NRFI record with an 11-2 road NRFI split. When facing batters the first time through the order, he’s only allowed 36 hits in 238 at-bats, which is suitable for a.151 average.
Javier has limited experience against these Phillies hitters, which will leave the edge of unfamiliarity with him. His best matchup today will be against Kyle Schwarber, who is 0-for-2 in his career.
The Phillies will send out their playoff ace in Aaron Nola. Nola was also phenomenal in the regular season toward the NRFI, posting a 27-4 NRFI record with a 14-2 home NRFI split. When facing batters the first time through the order. Nola has excelled as in 278 batters he’s only issued 50 hits, which is good for a .180 average.
More impressively, Nola has only allowed one home run when facing batters the first time to the order. Nola also has a significant amount of experience against the Astros. His his best matchups will be against José Altuve who’s 2-for-8, Jeremy Pena who’s 1-for-5, and Alex Bregman, who is 0-for-3.
Getting a Nola NRFI at (-128) at home is excellent value. I had this NRFI priced at (-137) providing us a slight edge and making this game 4 NRFI playable.
Pick: NRFI -128 (FanDuel)
