A's Run Line (+1.5)
The Athletics are looking to bounce back after dropping the series opener on Tuesday by the score of 8-5.
Their "ace" JP Sears will be on the mound; he enters Wednesday with a 2-2 record and a strong 3.13 ERA and 1.09 WHIP.
Instead of taking the moneyline, I'm going with the run line for the first leg of my SGP.
Marcus Semien 2+ Total Bases
It's been a rough early part of the season for Marcus Semien, as he's slashing just .160/.231/.247 entering Wednesday.
However, Semien broke out on Tuesday, going 2-for-3 with a home run and four RBI. He has always had solid numbers against the A's — batting .286 with 65 hits and 13 homer runs in 56 games — so I'm tacking him onto this SGP in the hopes that he stays hot.
A's Team Total over 3.5
The Athletics have one of the more formidable offenses in the league, with the likes of Brent Rooker, Tyler Soderstrom, Lawrence Butler, Shea Langeliers and the recently recalled Nick Kurtz.
Tonight, they get to face touted Rangers right-hander Kumar Rocker, who enters play with an ugly 6.38 ERA.
I believe the Athletics are in a great spot to have plenty of success against Rocker and am finishing up this parlay with the over on the A's team total of 3.5.
