Padres vs Tigers Predictions, Parlay Picks
The Padres are 17-7 overall and 5-6 on the road this season.
Kyle Hart takes the mound on Wednesday with a 2-1 record and a 6.48 ERA. In his last outing, Hart got destroyed, allowing 10 hits and five runs with just two strikeouts in five innings.
However, I think that he gets back to normal on Wednesday versus the Tigers.
Detroit is 5-5 in its last 10 games, and San Diego should get it done on the road.
San Diego is fourth in the league in hits per game, averaging 8.9. It's an even better hitting team against right-handed pitchers, with a .281 batting average and .770 OPS.
The Padres are also better in day games, as they tend to be more productive at the plate.
Tigers' Reece Olson pitched a scoreless five innings in his last outing, and I don't expect him to repeat that performance.
The Padres should get to Olson early and the runs should come flowing all game long.
Gavin Sheets has been on a tear lately, as he's hitting .333 in the past week. On the year, he's 21-for-65 overall and 19-for-56 against right-handed pitching.
Sheets has a great matchup on Wednesday against Olson. He's red hot in this series, and I expect him to continue that on Wednesday with a few hits or a double.
Lastly, Sheets has faced Olson seven times and has recorded two hits in their matchups.
Also, I do believe this will be a high-scoring game, so Sheets should contribute to it by bringing in a few runs with his hot bat.
