The once great rivalry between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Houston Astros seems to be fading. The Astros are well behind the Texas Rangers in the American League West race while the Dodgers had a quiet offseason and are now missing star pitchers like Walker Buehler and Julio Urias.
Saturday night, however, these two teams that used to meet in the World Series played an exciting back-and-forth game that saw the Dodgers emerge victorious. Will Los Angeles get the job done again under the bright lights of Sunday Night Baseball, or will Houston answer back?

Same-Game Parlay – Houston Astros vs Los Angeles Dodgers
Hunter Brown Over 5.5 Strikeouts
Hunter Brown has recorded six or more strikeouts in five of his last seven starts. While the Dodgers don't have the reputation of a high-strikeout team, their projected lineup has combined for a 22% Strikeout Rate against right-handed pitching this year. The left-handed hitters in their lineup have combined for a 25% Strikeout Rate against right-handed pitching this year. Brown has a 28% Strikeout Rate against left-handed hitters this year and a 26% Strikeout Rate overall, so this should be a favorable spot for him to continue exceeding 5.5 Ks.
Freddie Freeman 2+ Total Bases
While Brown is better at getting strikeouts against left-handed hitters, the righy is also worse at power prevention against left-handed hitters. Brown has allowed a .147 ISO to left-handed hitters this season compared to a .117 ISO allowed against right-handed hitters. Freddie Freeman has a .171 ISO and .317 average against right-handed pitching this season. Freeman can cash the second leg of our same-game parlay with just a double or two singles.
Astros Moneyline
The Astros are underdogs here, but I definitely think they should be favored. Brown is a better pitcher than Dodgers starter Tony Gonsolin. While the Dodgers probably still have the better lineup, both teams are missing key offensive contributors in Max Muncy for Los Angeles and Yordan Alvarez for Houston. The Dodgers mounted a successful comeback in Saturday night's game, but the Astros should have the advantage if this one is close late. Los Angeles has the second-worst bullpen in all of baseball with a bullpen ERA of 4.88 compared to the Houston bullpen ERA of 3.58. Expect the Astros to win tonight while capping off a nice longshot same-game parlay.
