Damian Lillard entered the 2024 3-Point Contest as the favorite and took home the hardware becoming the first player to go back-to-back in the competition since Jason Kapono in 2007-08.
Lillard faced tough competition with Trae Young, Tyrese Haliburton, and Karl-Anthony Towns all finishing with exactly 26 points in the first round. Those four players each had the best odds to make the final round entering Saturday's event, but needed to compete in an elimination round to whittle down the field to three players in the final round.
Haliburton fell just short of the final round, which left Lillard, Young and Towns as the final round participants.

Towns finished his final round with 22 points and Young had 24 in his final try, which meant Lillard just needed to match his final score from Round 1.
After cruising through his racks, Lillard came very close to falling short on his final rack. In true Dame Time fashion, he knocked down his final shot to secure his second consecutive 3-Point Contest title.
