The Los Angeles Clippers look to avoid the season sweep as they host the Oklahoma City Thunder who have won the first three meetings in the head-to-head.

The Clippers will be without Paul George, who will miss a few weeks due to a knee injury he sustained in their game against the Thunder Tuesday and Norman Powell, who has played in just one game this month. As for the Thunder, they enter this contest with a clear injury report. Staying healthy has helped them win eight of their past 10 games overall and enter as one of the league's top offensive teams.

As of late, they've really stepped it up on the defensive end holding three of their last five opponents to 107 points or less. They will need to get it done on both sides of the ball if they want to pull off the upset against a desperate Clippers squad who have split their last 10 games.

Here are the two bets I'm putting in a same game parlay today for Thunder vs Clippers.

  • Josh Giddey Under 15.5 Points (-115)
  • Shai GIlgeous-Alexander 1+ Made 3-Point Shot (-140)

Josh Giddey Under 15.5 Points

Josh Giddey enters tonight's contest attempting 14.4 shots per game, but has been held under that attempt number in three straight. Despite his slow down in attempts, he's logging big minutes and lately has been contributing a lot more in other areas. Giddey is averaging 5.8 boards per contest, and has logged five or more assists in eight of the past 10 Thunder games.

From a scoring standpoint, this hasn't been a great matchup for Giddey. He's shooting 36.6% from the floor and averaging 12 points in three games against the Clippers this season.

Although he doesn't attempt a lot of 3-point shots at all, Giddey is 1-of-8 from beyond the arc against the Clippers this season. Look for the Clippers to keep him in check and take the under his points total of 15.5.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander 1+ Made 3-Point Shot

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is already one of the leading candidates for Most Improved Player this season. If he keeps up his stellar play, he may find his name on a few MVP ballots, too. Since Jan. 1, he has scored 20 points or more in every game, and since the All-Star break he's averaging 35 points, 5.8 rebounds and 4.3 assists per contest.

His points total is set very high for this matchup of course and he's had an impact in every game thus far in the head-to-head. One of his prop bet's that stands out is Gilgeous-Alexander to make a 3-point shot.

He is averaging 34.9% shooting from deep, but only attempts 2.5 a game; way down from the 5.1 attempts he averaged in his first two seasons in Oklahoma City.

Although this is a very low number of attempts, the line of -140 suggests he has a 58.33% implied odds to make one 3-pointer but he's has at least one 3-pointer in 62% of his games this season. He has connected from beyond the arc in all three meetings against the Clippers thus far this season, and he's made two or more twice. Look for that trend to continue tonight.
