Best NBA Bets Tonight | Expert Picks, Predictions for Tuesday (Jan. 9)
Tuesday's NBA slate brings with it five games and there's plenty of betting action to be found. Our analysts from the BUCKETS podcast break down their picks on Kings vs. Pistons, Timberwolves vs. Magic and Trail Blazers vs. Knicks.

Kings vs. Pistons Under 240

This is the first game Cade Cunningham is going to miss this season. I don't know how Detroit is going to make up the offense without him out there because his usage rate is 14th in the NBA. The second-highest on the Pistons is Jaden Ivey and I don't see them successfully running the offense through him for an entire game.
The Kings may be able to put up a big number but I don't see the Pistons scoring any more than 100 points, if that. The Kings are 10-5 to the under in road games this season and for some reason play much better defense on the road than at home. The furthest I would take this is 239.

Timberwolves -5 at Magic

I like the Wolves tonight in a bounce-back spot. This team has only lost back-to-back once this season, and they are off a loss in a game they should've won against the Dallas Mavericks.
They have a superstar in Anthony Edwards and a couple of defensive stoppers in Rudy Gobert and Jalen McDaniels.
I also see this as a letdown spot for the Magic. They came off a huge road trip and beat the Hawks in an overtime thriller at home. Teams off of overtime this season are 45% against the spread and home underdogs are 3-4 after overtime games.

Knicks -11.5 vs. Trail Blazers

I think the Knicks are underrated in the market and the OG Anunoby trade has been a huge help and a legitimate change.
There is an interesting trend with teams coming off facing the Brooklyn Nets as well. Teams after facing the Nets are 12-23 against the spread for 34% coverage. The Nets exhaust teams and are a pain in the butt to play.
12-23 is no tight margin, this is a clear trend. I know the Blazers can catch a team and keep it close, but the Knicks are riding right now with Anunoby: 4-0 straight-up and against the spread.
