The Lakers are massive favorites to be the team to draft Bronny James Jr. in the 2024 NBA Draft.

LeBron's team are +350 to draft his son and fulfill the future Hall of Famer's dream to play with his son in a professional setting. While LeBron had previously indicated that he would join whichever team drafted his son, he has since walked back that assertion.

But, LeBron made those assertions when Bronny was considered a surefire top 10 pick, giving the Lakers a rough chance to acquire the former McDonalds All-American.

But the four-star recruit out of high school had a tumultuous season at USC his freshman year, which started out with a cardiac scare during the preseason. Bronny averaged just under 5 points per game and under 3 rebounds amid his recovery from a congenital heart defect.

Bronny has since indicated his intention to put his hat in the NBA ring and the transfer portal, in case he doesn't land in a favorable position.

The Lakers owe the Pelicans the option of either their 2024 or 2025 first-round pick, but reports this week have indicated that New Orleans will opt for 2025 pick in an effort to improve the pick's standing. The first rounder was traded as part of the package for Anthony Davis in 2019.

The Lakers also own their own second round pick in the 2024 NBA Draft.

The first rounder figures to slot in somewhere around the pick No. 14 range. The second rounder would fit in at roughly pick No. 44.

No other team have higher than +900 odds to draft the 19-year-old Bronny. The 76ers and Knicks have those odds, with the Thunder (+1000), Cavaliers (+1000) and Clippers (+1500) the only other teams cracking more than a 6% chance of acquiring LeBron's son.

The aforementioned odds market is only available in select states, such as Colorado and New Jersey. In the event that Bronny James goes undrafted, all bets will void. The initial team that drafts Bronny will cash these tickets — even if he is subsequently traded.
