Bucks vs. Hawks Preview

The Bucks are slotted to face off against the Atlanta Hawks on Friday night and both of these teams have an updated look after the trade deadline.

The Bucks made waves by trading Khris Middleton to the Wizards for Kyle Kuzma and also brought in Jericho Sims from the Knicks. Both are listed as day-to-day due to the trade. The Bucks are also listing Giannis Antetokounmpo (Calf – Questionable), Damian Lillard (Groin – Probable) and Brook Lopez (Knee – probable) on the injury report.

The Hawks traded De'Andre Hunter to the Cleveland Cavaliers and Bogdan Bogdanovic to the Clippers. Trae Young (Achilles – Probable) and Clint Capela (Personal – Out) are both listed on the injury report and Bones Hyland, Georges Niang and Caris LeVert are all day-to-day due to being traded.

The Hawks always play the Bucks tough — much of it being stylistic. The Bucks don't do anything particularly nuanced defensively and Young is able to slice and dice the defense. Young's PRA line is set at 40.5, a number he has exceeded in six of his past nine games against the Bucks.

Without De'Andre Hunter and Bogdan Bogdanovic, I expect the Hawks to lean more on Zaccharie Risacher. He's been streaky this season, but when he's played 20+ minutes, he's averaging 13.2 points per game.

Bucks vs. Hawks Prediction

Neither of these teams are particularly strong ATS, but the Hawks have been solid (19-13) as an underdog. They simply play up (or down) to their competition. I'll back Atlanta to keep this one close.

For an SGP, I'll take Young 20+ Points, 10+ Assists and Risacher 10+ Points.

Best Bet: Hawks ATS (-110)

Same-Game Parlay Picks

  • Trae Young 20+ Points (-525)
  • Trae Young 10+ Assists (-170)
  • Zaccharie Risacher 10+ Points (-350)

Parlay Payout: +116
