Cavaliers vs. Heat Game 4 Preview

The bets I'm eyeing for tonight's Game 4 include the following.

This long shot is an old classic. It's the Heat's last stand, so you know you're getting an Erik Spoelstra kitchen sink game. It doesn't mean they're gonna win, but I'd be stunned if they get off to a poor start.

The Heat are an awful fourth-quarter team, as I've documented for months. Although they haven't led after the first quarter in this series either, they've managed to secure one cover so far.

In this game, I'll take Spo with his season on the line against a Cavs team who I'd expect to pick up steam in the second half when closing time comes as the Heat offense tends to fall off a cliff.

The play is Heat first quarter/Cavs full game, which is +340 as "first quarter winner, match winner." You could also just play Heat 1Q and Cavs ML as a parlay at your book of choice if you don't have the combo, though it probably won't be +340.

Additionally, Heat +3.5 in the first quarter is a bet I'd like as a straight shot.

I will also be on Davion Mitchell's points + assists again in Game 4 tonight. He's covered this in all three games so far this series, and is listed — somehow — as just 17.5 tonight.

Mitchell has scored 18, 18 and 16 in the three games so far this series while logging 34, 36 and 37 minutes.

On the assists front, he's gotten 9, 6 and 5 in that order, giving him no fewer than 21 PA in any game this series.

He's one of the only that plays like a true Heat player, which is to say, he gives it his all on every single possession, so in a do-or-die contest for your season, I'd rather bet on him than anyone else on that roster outside of Bam Adebayo.

Heat vs. Cavaliers Best Bets for Game 4

  • Davion Mitchell Over 17.5 Points + Assists (-150)
  • Heat First Quarter Spread +3.5 (-115)
