Cleveland Cavaliers vs New York Knicks NBA Friday Preview
The Knicks face off against the Cavaliers as the regular season winds down. While the Cavs are secure in their position at the top of the Eastern Conference, the Knicks still need either a win or a Pacers' loss to lock into the 3-seed.
The Knicks are playing their second game in as many days. However, they sat OG Anunoby, Josh Hart, and Mitchell Robinson so they should be a bit more rested for this game. It is also a back-to-back for the Cavaliers, who sat Donovan Mitchell, Evan Mobley, Darius Garland, and Max Strus against the Pacers.
The Knicks have not been able to knock off any of the East's top teams and have been abysmal ATS on no rest. They are just 3-11 ATS with zero days rest. There is some reason to deviate from this trend though considering 3 of their key rotational pieces did not play on Thursday night.
The Cavaliers can still be competitive even without their main talent on the floor, and this is a tough spot for the Knicks with the volume of 3s the Cavaliers take.
The Knicks limit 3-point opportunities overall. However, they allow their opponents to shoot the 5th highest mark from beyond the arc. The Cavs trail only Boston for the most 3s made per game.
