Cavaliers vs. Magic Preview
Last spring, the Cavaliers and Magic matched up in the first round and the Cavaliers advanced in a seven-game battle. That was a No. 4 vs. No. 5 matchup, but this season, the Cavaliers have taken a major leap under head coach Kenny Atkinson. They enter tonight's game at 47-10 and are in sole possession of the league's best record following Oklahoma City's loss in Minnesota last night.
The Cavaliers have won seven straight games and 11 of their last 12 games. They have been led by Donovan Mitchell, who is averaging 25.9 points and 5.5 assists over his last 11 games.
Mitchell is pivotal in helping the Cavaliers advance past the Magic last year and he may have to take the reins tonight as Darius Garland is questionable tonight with a left hip contusion.
Should Garland be available tonight, he may have a strong performance considering he has scored 18 points in eight of his last nine regular-season games against the Magic with six assists in seven of those games as well.
If Garland is out tonight, the Cavaliers will not get much sympathy from the Magic. An injury-riddled season has prevented Orlando from taking another leap this season. They enter tonight's game at 29-30 and in seventh place in the Eastern Conference. Star forwards Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner have each missed significant time this season while defensive ace Jalen Suggs remains out tonight.
Banchero is still looking to regain his form pre-injury. In 20 games since returning, he is averaging 21.4 points and 6.7 rebounds per game, but he is shooting just 40% from the field and 29% from three.
Wagner has been much more efficient since his return as he is averaging 26.2 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 3.5 assists while shooting 47% from the field. He will also be looking for redemption against Cleveland after struggling in last year's series.

Cavaliers vs. Magic Prediction
The Magic enter tonight's game having covered four consecutive games while winning three of them outright, though two were against the Hornets and Wizards. For them to hang around tonight, they will need a strong defensive effort considering their offensive struggles. Orlando is last in the league in points per game (104.3) and has scored 115 points or more in just one of its last 10 games. If Cleveland gets to its scoring average (122.9), it may be difficult for Orlando to keep up.
Additionally, Cleveland has been one of the most profitable teams to back this season at 37-19-1 against the spread this season. It is also 14-8 ATS as a road favorite and has covered two of the last three regular-season meetings against Orlando. That includes a 126-99 victory in Orlando last season.
I'll back Mitchell to lead the way tonight with some help from Evan Mobley. Mitchell has recorded 30 points + assists in seven of his last 10 games. He has also reached this line in four of his last six regular season games against the Magic, with at least 35 PA in the four Overs.
Mobley, a first-time All-Star this season, has recorded 25 points + rebounds in nine of his last 10 games. He had 14 points and 12 rebounds in the first meeting this season, a 120-109 Cleveland victory.
Best Bet: Cavaliers -7.5 (-110)
