The Miami Heat look to take a commanding 2-0 series lead as they play host to the Boston Celtics on Thursday night. This postseason the Celtics have rebounded in a big way as they have won after all three of their postseason losses.
For critical injury news to monitor, Marcus Smart is listed as probable with a mild foot sprain, and Al Horford has been upgraded to questionable due to health and safety protocols.
For Miami, Kyle Lowry will miss his fourth straight game with an injured hamstring. Fellow guard Max Strus is also questionable.
With the Heat looking to continue their hot shooting and the Celtics having success in bounce-back games, let's have a look at some bets to consider in a same-game parlay.
Boston Celtics +3 (-110, FanDuel)
Getting Smart back is big for the Celtics. This season without Smart in the lineup, the Celtics went 5-8 and are 1-1 in the postseason. Smart not only helps facilitate ball movement and add points on the offensive end, but he's an elite defender who makes the Celtics tougher on both sides of the floor.
Look for the Celtics to get it done with their defense first. They topped the Association in opponent points per game in the regular season at 104.3 and showed this in spades by clamping down the Bucks in two of their last three games as they held them to 95 and 81 points respectively.
Jayson Tatum Over 3.5 Made 3's (-128, FanDuel)
Jayson Tatum went silent in the second half of Game 1. He was outplayed by Jimmy Butler, and his success will be imperative for the Celtics to win this game and knot up the series. As for Tatum this postseason, he's averaging right around the same number of field goals attempted and points that he did in the regular season while playing 41.4 minutes a contest and scoring 28.3 points per game.
Historically the Heat have done a good job to contain him as his career high against them is 33 points. This season, he's averaging only 17.7 points per contest against the Heat's defense. Instead of betting his points total, let's look into this number even further.
This postseason Tatum is attempting 9.2 3-pointers per contest. The Heat as we know are a great team defending the 3-point line, however opponents in the regular season have connected on 12.8 3s per contest. Look for Tatum to continue with the high volume as we just need a few bounces to go our way.
Parlay: Boston Celtics +3 & Jayson Tatum Over 3.5 Made 3s (+196)
