Celtics vs. Magic Game 4 Preview

This is the gap on my card. I have Magic +2.5 games on the series spread, so I have an implicit bet on this game already. But I do think Orlando can win this game. They are limiting the Celtics’ threes, contesting under the rim, and most importantly, bothering them with their physicality.

Boston hates the way Orlando is playing. The Celtics think it’s dirty. This is what happens when a team that didn’t play anyone last year in the playoffs faces a team that’s not just going to lie down.

Yes, the Magic are playing physical. That’s how the playoffs go. The fact that it bothers the Celtics so much is a mark in Orlando’s favor.

The problem is that Boston is dynamite after a loss. With Joe Mazzulla in the playoffs, they are 8-3 straight up and ATS after a loss, with two of those against the Heat voodoo in 2023.

I project this game over the total at 203, but I can’t bet it. That projection is based on the idea that there’s a floor to the Magic’s offense. There is not. There’s a possibility they get one game where all the shots fall, and that would be great for cashing +2.5.

I like Derrick White props in Game 4 instead. I'm taking him over 4.5 assists and over 3.5 three-pointers made.

I don’t want to make a correlated over play because the Magic might score 80 points again. However, White was 3-of-10 from three-point range in Game 2, and he went 2-of-8 in Game 3. The volume is there. If you parlay them together, it’s +240.
