Los Angeles Clippers vs Orlando Magic NBA Monday Preview

Tonight, the Clippers will wrap up a four-game road trip in Orlando against the Magic. They began the trip with a pair of victories in New York over the Knicks and Nets but fell to the Cavaliers yesterday. They did not have Kawhi Leonard available on the front end of the back-to-back, but he is expected to play tonight.

The six-time All-Star has been playing at an extremely high level of late. In March, Leonard is averaging 25.6 points, 7.3 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 1.8 steals per game while shooting 53.6% from the field and 43.3% from deep. Meanwhile, James Harden has scored 20 points in 15 of his last 20 games while dishing out eight assists in 12 of them.

With both of the Clippers' stars performing at a high level, they have won 10 of their last 13 games, with two of the losses coming against the 60-win Thunder and Cavaliers. They have a stranglehold on the eighth seed with a 5.5-game lead over the Mavericks, but they are also just a game back of the Warriors for the sixth seed. However, they will run into another hot duo tonight against the Magic.

Paolo Banchero has scored 20 points in 19 of his last 20 games. In that span, he is averaging 29.4 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game. Meanwhile, Franz Wagner has scored 20 points in seven straight games and in eight of his last 10 games. He is averaging 22 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 4.6 assists per game.

Orlando has won seven of its last 11 games and blitzed the Kings 121-91 on Saturday. With a win tonight, they would pull even with the Hawks for the seventh seed. To do so, the Magic will need to snap a three-game losing streak to the Clippers.

Kawhi Leonard has scored 20 points in nine of his last 10 games, going for 23 or more in eight straight. He also scored 29 points in his last game against the Magic. However, he has also grabbed six rebounds in nine of his last 10 games, pulling down eight or more in five of them. He has had seven rebounds in his last three games against the Magic.

I am interested in his points alone, but the points and rebounds combined may be the better bet. If Leonard scores 29 against Orlando again, he will clear both his points and PR props. However, he has recorded 23 points and six rebounds in eight straight games, helping him clear his PR line in all eight of them. Leonard has finished with 30 or more PR in seven of those games, and I like his chances of getting there again tonight.

In addition to Leonard, Banchero has scored 23 points in each of his last 10 games and had 23 in his last game against the Clippers. Wagner has been scoring well himself, but he also has 31 turnovers in his last 10 games, with at least two in eight of those games.

Lastly, Ivica Zubac has pulled down 10 rebounds in seven straight games and in nine of his last 10. He has also grabbed 12 or more rebounds in three of his last five games against Orlando. He is currently -230 for a double-double tonight, which he would most likely get with points and rebounds.
