The Los Angeles Clippers look to end their three-game losing streak tonight when they travel to Denver to take on the Nuggets. Denver has been hot as of late, winning seven of its last 10 games overall and three straight contests against the Clippers.

Los Angeles will be happy to have Kawhi Leonard back in the lineup after missing last game. However, the Clippers may be without Paul George, who is questionable with an illness. The Nuggets are five-point favorites, and that number could be on the move depending on the status on PG13.

Early struggles are uncharacteristic for the Nuggets, who rank first in field goals made per game, first in 3-point percentage, second in shooting percentage and second in first-quarter points per game at 31.3.

The Clippers, on the other hand, have gotten out to slow starts all year by ranking 26th in first-quarter points per game (27.3) and could find themselves up against it with a Nuggets squad very capable of putting up big numbers early.

Not only are the Nuggets efficient early on, but they are also very sound on the defensive end, ranking seventh in opponent first-quarter points per game allowed (27.4). Take the Nuggets to come out strong in the quarter where Nikola Jokic plays the most minutes and win the first quarter.

Denver's Jamal Murray is finally starting to show signs of coming back to full strength after missing all of last season with an ACL injury. He's averaging 18 points per game but has eclipsed that number in three of his last five contests. He's shooting the ball well and has been logging big minutes as of late.

Murray's point total is set at a fair number of 17.5 against a strong Clippers defense. While I would lean toward the over on that total, I think there's a more favorable over to bet, and that is his made 3-point shots. Murray has logged two or more made 3s in four straight against the Clippers. He's also been shooting a high volume of 3s, averaging 8.2 3-point attempts over that span.

There's a lot of value in taking him to find his groove from beyond the arc, and the attempts should be there for Murray.
