The Los Angeles Clippers (32-28) and Phoenix Suns (28-33) will meet in the NBA tonight. Tipoff is set for 10:00 p.m. ET at the Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona. The game will broadcast live on TNT.

The Clippers are 2.5-point favorites over the Suns on the spread (Clippers -2.5), with the over/under set at 225.5 total points. Los Angeles is a -135 favorite to win outright, while Phoenix is +114 to pull off the upset.

Let's get into my Clippers vs. Suns predictions and NBA picks for Tuesday, March 4.

Clippers vs. Suns Picks, Prediction

Spread

I just don't want any of the Suns. Phoenix is the worst team in the NBA against the spread at 21-39-1 this season. The Clippers are 32-28 ATS and in the NBA's top 10.

Moneyline

I'm taking the Clippers on the spread, but if a couple points scare you, then sure, you can play this instead. This obviously gives you good value on the Suns if you like them, but right now, I just don't, personally.

Over/Under

No play from me here, though my lean would be under

My Pick: Clippers -2

Clippers vs. Suns Preview

The Suns have covered twice in seven games since the break, once in three tries at home, and that was a second game of a back-to-back against the Pelicans — after playing the Pelicans. They were -6.5 and lost by eight before winning by 17 the next day — the game Zion Williamson and CJ McCollum sat, of course.

Derrick Jones Jr., Norman Powell and Ben Simmons will all sit for the Clippers, but Kawhi Leonard is unlisted, so we're expecting him to play barring a late scratch, which is becoming customary — unfortunately — in today's NBA. Looking at you, March 3 slate.

I generally like unders in Clippers games, which we've gotten in now four of six since coming back from All-Star Weekend. This season, the Clippers have played to the fourth-most unders by percentage, and they still carry a top-five defense statistically.

The problem is that the Suns are 27th in defense, but I'll wait and see how the line moves. Currently, we're looking at a total sitting around 225. If we get closer to 228 ish, I'll likely go under. If not, I'm good.

Clippers vs. Suns Prediction

This is a bet against the Suns. The ship is sinking, and you'll likely be profitable over the long haul if you bet against them every game for the rest of the season.

Best Bet: Clippers -2.5 or better
