Grizzlies vs. Cavaliers Preview

The Cleveland Cavaliers have been competitive in recent seasons but have struggled in the playoffs. Last year, they won their opening playoff series against the Magic but were dominated by the Celtics in the next round.

In a surprising offseason move, Cleveland parted ways with former head coach JB Bickerstaff and hired Kenny Atkinson, who is now considered a top contender for NBA Coach of the Year.

This season, the Cavaliers are set to make their third consecutive playoff appearance. They have been dominant at home, boasting an impressive 26-4 record. Tonight, they will aim to extend their winning streak to seven games.

Veteran star Donovan Mitchell leads the team with 24.0 points per game, while Darius Garland contributes 21.3 points and a team-high 6.7 assists. Evan Mobley has also been a key player, averaging 18.6 points and 9.2 rebounds per game.

Memphis has posted a 37-19 record, the third-best in the Western Conference. After missing the playoffs last season due to injuries, the Grizzlies have made a strong comeback this year.

Under head coach Taylor Jenkins, the team has remained relatively healthy, a key factor in their success. In 2023, Jenkins led Memphis to a 51-31 record. However, the Grizzlies have not won a playoff series since 2022.

Recently, Memphis has won six of its last ten games. All-Star Jaren Jackson Jr. leads the team with 22.8 points per game, while Ja Morant has been impressive, averaging 20.5 points and a team-high 7.3 assists per game. Desmond Bane has also contributed significantly, adding 18.3 points and 5.3 assists per game.

Best Bet: Grizzlies +6 (-110)
