Grizzlies vs. Thunder Game 2 Betting Preview
I only want props in this contest. The Thunder are a lot better than Memphis, but are we ready to fully close the door on the idea of the Grizzlies having a shot of at least bouncing back enough to make a few games in this series close?
In Game 2, we'll learn how much of an outlier Game 1 was — if at all — but for me, the props are where to look.
For one, I like Jalen Williams over 10.5 rebounds + assists. Williams has gotten this in five of his last six against the Grizzlies going back to last March and including Game 1 of this series. In his last six opposite of Memphis, he’s never grabbed fewer than five rebounds and has dropped below five assists just once — with four.
To me, this is another spot to hit it, especially given the pace Memphis will look to play at, and the fact that OKC can and will run with the Grizzlies — and likely do so more effectively.
I also like Isaiah Joe over 1.5 threes. In five games against Memphis this year — including Game 1 of the playoffs — Joe has gotten two or more to hit from deep in all but one contest.
The volume is substantial enough to where he's gotten five attempts from deep all but once. And if this is another blowout, that gives Joe more opportunities to clear this.
In five games against Memphis this year, he is averaging 20.8 minutes per contest, and he landed on exactly 20 last time out. During this run, he has played fewer than 20 minutes against the Grizz just once. And for good measure, we'll add in OKC on the moneyline as the third parlay leg.
