Hawks vs. Rockets Preview

The Atalanta Hawks and Houston Rockets meet in the Lone Star State on Tuesday night. Atalanta has averaged 117.6 points per game, while Houston is putting up 113.5 points.

Atlanta comes into the matchup with a record of 35-36. Quin Snyder's team has been hot, winning seven of their past 10 games and is looking to extend their winning streak to four games.

Atlanta's hot run places them seventh in the Eastern Conference, 4.5 games behind the final playoff spot. Still, they hold a 10.5-game lead over the Toronto Raptors for the final play-in spot in the
Eastern Conference.

Atlanta has reached the postseason in three of the past four years.

Veteran Trae Young leads the Hawks with 24.1 points and 11.4 assists per game. Young also leads
the NBA in assists per game. Meanwhile, Dyson Daniels is enjoying the best year of his career, averaging 13.9 points and 5.7 rebounds per game.

Houston rolls into the game with a 46-26 record, a strong showing that puts them second in the Western Conference.

Ime Udoka's team has been one of the best surprises in the NBA and will snap their four-year playoff drought this season.

Former second-overall pick Jalen Green leads the Rockets with 21.3 points per game. Alperen Sengun has averaged a double-double with 19.0 points and 10.5 rebounds per game. Veteran Fred VanVleet has added 14.5 points per game and a team-best 5.6 assists per game.

Hawks vs. Rockets Prediction

We will ride with the home team tonight. Houston is playing some of its best basketball of the season, and that will continue tonight. The Rockets have dominated with a 26-11 record on their home floor this season.

Also, look for Dillon Brooks to score over 14.5 points. The pace of this contest will favor his prop, and he has exceeded this number in three of his past four games. The veteran averaged 16.6 points per game in March and our Action Pro Report projects 16.7 points from him.

Lastly, I expect Dyson Daniels to go under 14.5 points tonight. He has failed to exceed this prop in five of his past five games, and the former first-round pick won't see enough volume to exceed this prop. Our Action Pro Report projects 12.7 points from Daniels in this matchup.

Best Bet: Rockets -8 (-110)
