Ok, I bet the Hornets the other night vs. the Raptors and that was dumb. But this time, it’ll surely work!
Look, the Celtics have been bad ATS as big home favorites against bad teams all year. They did smash the Wizards the last time they had them, and the Hornets are somehow worse than the Wizards.
However, I make this line Celtics -17, and while Jaylen Brown is the only Celtics player on the injury report (and he’s out), the Celtics have zero reason to play starters full minutes in this game.
This isn’t the home closer for the Celtics, that’s Sunday at the Garden against this same Hornets team, and I'm not going near that one for multiple reasons. But look, I want to take some of the bad teams against good teams with no motivation this time of year.
The Celtics can’t get ready for the playoffs in a matchup against the Hornets. They will smack them, but I think enough outcomes see them lose by less than 20.
