When properly motivated, the Celtics can beat any team. But unmotivated, banged-up, and with a look-ahead nationally televised home marquee matchup against Oklahoma City looming, this is a spot to fade the Celtics.
It's simply too many points for Boston to be laying. Utah is terrible and unpopular with the public. That combination gives the Jazz some extra value sitting at +17.5.
The Jazz have covered the spread in eight of their last 14 games, and should get big man Walker Kessler back after he was rested in Sunday's road loss to the 76ers.
Boston may choose to sit Jayson Tatum and Al Horford, both of whom are listed as questionable. Kristaps Porzingis isn't expected to play either for Boston.
The Celtics are 3-8 ATS the last 11 times when laying double-digits. They host the Thunder on Wednesday, and that's the game they are focused on.
