On Sunday afternoon, Yahoo NBA Reporter Chris Haynes reported that Kevin Durant will be cleared to practice. Durant was supposed to practice on Thursday prior to Friday's Game 4 but ultimately was unable to do so.
Thus, this is the first positive step this series toward Durant potentially suiting up.
Some more specifics from our FantasyLabs NBA news feed:
Durant went through a short practice on Sunday and is officially listed questionable for Monday's game vs. the Raptors. The Warriors are hopeful that he'll be able to play Monday if he's able to come through Sunday all right without any setbacks. It's unclear if Durant will be on a minutes limit upon his return but that seems likely given his extended time off. If Durant is able to play Monday, expect DeMarcus Cousins to be bumped out of the starting lineup in favor of the Hampton's 5.
Game 5's spread opened at Raptors -2.5 at home, and it had been fluctuating between -3 and -3.5 prior to the Durant news. Shortly after it was announced he would practice, the Warriors moved to +2.5 across the board. As of Monday at 12:30 p.m. ET, when the Warriors declared Durant a game-time decision, Golden State was +1.5.
If he's ultimately cleared to play, expect to line to continue to move that direction.
The over/under has also seen movement in the wake of the Durant news: It sat at 211.5 overnight on Saturday, but has been bet all the way up to 214.5.
It was largely sitting at about 212 before the Durant news, and shortly thereafter we tracked a steam move on the over, pushing it up a few points.
As of Monday at 12:30 p.m. ET, the Raptors are getting 53% of the bets and 70% of the money wagered on the spread. The over is getting 79% of the bets but just 61% of the money wagered so far.
