Sacramento Kings vs Denver Nuggets NBA Preview

The Sacramento Kings and the Denver Nuggets will clash at the Ball Arena on Wednesday in a highly anticipated matchup. So far, Denver leads the season series 2-0. The Kings have averaged 116.9 points per game, while Denver has averaged 121.1 points per game.

The Kings enter this contest with a record of 32-28, the eighth-best record in the West. They trail the final playoff spot by 1.5 games. Head coach Doug Christie took over the Kings early in the season after Mike Brown was fired. Since then, he's led the Kings to a record of 19-10.

Sacramento has been red hot lately, winning four straight games and seven of their last ten. They're led by Zach LaVine, with 22.5 points per game and 4 assists in eleven games.

DeMar DeRozan has added 21.9 points per game and 3.9 assists, while big man Domantas Sabonis has averaged a double-double with 19.5 points per game and 14.1 rebounds. Sabonis will miss at least one week as he deals with a hamstring injury.

Meanwhile, the Nuggets have posted the third-best record in the West, 39-22. They can leapfrog the Lakers for second place in the Conference with a win tonight. Denver trails the first-place OKC Thunder by 11 games in the West.

Michael Malone's team has reached the post-season in six consecutive seasons, including a championship run in 2023. Since 2017, the Nuggets have won 45 games in each season. Malone and the Nuggets have won seven of their last ten games, but they're coming off a 110-103 loss to the Boston Celtics on Sunday.

Three-time MVP Nikola Jokic leads the Nuggets with 28.9 points per game, 12.7 rebounds, and 10.4 assists. Former Kentucky standout Jamal Murray has enjoyed a strong season with 21.4 points per game and 6.0 assists. Michael Porter Jr has added 18.5 points and 6.8 boards.

Kings vs Nuggets Parlay Picks

Nuggets Moneyline

The Nuggets will bounce back from their loss on Sunday with a victory on their home floor tonight. Sacramento has been a strong fade on the road with a 6-10 SU record playing away from home as an underdog.

Jonas Valanciunas Under 15.5 Points

Watch out for Jonas Valanciunas. The veteran big man will play a more significant role tonight in Sabonis' absence. However, the prop total of 15.5 points is too high; we will take advantage of that tonight. Our Action Pro Report projects 13.2 points from the big man tonight.

Nikola Jokic 25+ Points

Three-time MVP Jokic has not exceeded 25 points in back-to-back games or four of his last five. However, tonight is a tremendous spot to buy-low on him. Sacramento ranks 19th in points allowed per game and will struggle to slow down Jokic in Sabonis's absence tonight. Jokic scored 35 points in the team's last matchup.
