The Philadelphia 76ers took had two losses on Wednesday night. Not only were they beaten by the lowly Cleveland Cavaliers, they lost their star center Joel Embiid to yet another injury this season. They head home to their fortress to face the New York Knicks on the second night of a back-to-back looking to get a win with their undermanned squad.

Betting Trend to Know
The Knicks, believe it or not, are 3-0 against the spread (ATS) versus the 76ers this season. Among the five teams that the 76ers haven't covered the spread against this season the (Mavericks, Thunder, Magic, Pacers), the Knicks are the only team currently not in the postseason picture.
Brandon Anderson: No Embiid, No Problem?
The line in Philadelphia has fallen with the 76ers missing both Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid. It opened at -7.5 when Simmons was already out and has now dropped to -6.5 with Embiid confirmed missing, too.
But here’s the thing: they’re still the Knicks.
Philly could be missing Al Horford or Tobias Harris, too, and the Sixers should still take care of business against the 17-41 Knicks. Don’t forget, the Sixers are nearly unbeatable at home, with a 27-2 record. I don’t expect win No. 28 will be too difficult either, since Philly will still have the best three players on the court.
The PICK: 76ers -6.5

Malik Smith: Expect Some Ugly Offense
Since the calendar turned to 2020, the Knicks and 76ers have been two of the worst offenses in the NBA ranking in the bottom five in offensive efficiency over that span.
One might think that has a lot to do with Embiid sitting out for nine games with a hand injury, but the Sixers actually had a slightly better offensive rating with him off the court. With or without Simmons and Embiid this offense has struggled.
On top of that, our Action Network betting percentages show that 90% of the money being bet is on the under despite just 55% of the tickets taking the same side of the total. That should be a big enough sign for backing a low scoring affair.
The Pick: Under 210
