The New York Knicks (26-15) and Philadelphia 76ers (15-23) will meet in the NBA tonight. Tipoff is set for 7:00 p.m. ET at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The game will broadcast live on ESPN.

The Knicks are 6-points favorites over the Sixers on the spread (Knicks -6) with the over/under set at 220 total points. New York is a -230 favorite to win outright, while Philadelphia is +190 to pull off the upset.

Let's get into my Knicks vs. 76ers predictions and NBA picks for Wednesday, January 15.

Knicks vs. 76ers Picks, Prediction

Spread

Given the level of uncertainty surrounding the Sixers' injury report playing on the second half of a back-to-back, I will not be picking a side in tonight's matchup.

Over/Under

My 76ers vs. Knicks best bet is on Jalen Brunson Over 25.5 points, with the best line currently available at bet365, which isn't exactly a total prediction, but it does correlate with the total. And as always, make sure to shop for the best line using our live NBA odds page.

My Pick: Jalen Brunson Over 25.5 Points

Knicks vs. 76ers Preview

The Knicks are traveling to Philadelphia to face the 76ers, whose bench is playing the second night of a back-to-back after losing to the Thunder on Tuesday. The Knicks also look to rebound after dropping Monday night's game to the Pistons. Let's see which teams can start a new winning streak on Wednesday night.

The Sixers' injury report will be one to watch. They ruled out Paul George (ankle), Tyrese Maxey (hand), Joel Embiid (foot), Caleb Martin (groin), Andre Drummond (toe), and Kyle Lowry (hip) on Tuesday night so it will be interesting to see which ones play on Wednesday.

Considering George and Maxey seemed primed to play until later in the day, they will most likely be able to go on Wednesday. The Knicks listed Jalen Brunson (shoulder – probable) and Karl-Anthony Towns (thumb – Questionable) on their injury report. Towns hurt his thumb against the Pistons, so we will see how that impacts his scoring.

Given the injury report, it's extremely difficult to favor any side here, but the Knicks have played significantly more minutes as a unit than the 76ers have this season.

Maxey, George, and Embiid have only played 404 possessions together this season (about 11% of their total possessions). They have a +5.4 point differential and are only scoring 108.4 points per 100. The defense has been carrying the day with a 103.0 defensive rating, per Cleaning the Glass.

One player that should excel in this game is Jalen Brunson. In 11 games against Philly over the last two seasons, Brunson is averaging 29.1 points and 8.2 assists – some of the scoring spikes are due to his Playoff heroics, but if KAT's thumb is not at 100%, Brunson will need to carry the scoring load.

For the Sixers, I'll look to Paul George. His three-pointers prop has been money of late. While the Knicks limit 3-point opportunities, they allow their opponents the fifth-highest 3-point percentage.

Knicks vs. 76ers Prediction

Given the injury reports here, I'll stay away from a side or a total, but I will dabble with some player props.

Brunson's points line is set at 25.5; if KAT is limited or were to miss, this is a great spot for Jalen against a Sixers team he has dominated against.

For Paul George, he has 3+ three-pointers in six straight games, and he made seven against the Knicks earlier this season. I like him to exceed 2.5 3s tonight (-130 ESPN).

For my same game parlay, I'll combine those with their alternate lines, so Brunson 30+ Points and PG 4+ three-pointers (+660 Bet365).

Best Bets: Jalen Brunson Over 25.5 Points (-115), Paul George Over 2.5 Three-Pointers Made (-130)

Same Game Parlay Picks

  • Jalen Brunson 30+ Points (+220)
  • Paul George 4+ Three-Pointers (+220)

Parlay Payout: +660
