New York Knicks vs Cleveland Cavaliers NBA Preview

The Knicks face off against the Cavaliers tonight, as they look to finally secure a victory against one of the league's top teams. The Knicks are playing the second game of a back-to-back after taking care of business against the 76ers. This matchup is now one where the teams might only see each other if they both make the Eastern Conference Finals with the way the bracket is shaping up.

The Cavaliers have ruled out Ty Jerome for this game, but otherwise have a clean bill of health. The Knicks will likely be without Mitchell Robinson (injury management) who has yet to play in a back-to-back since returning. The Knicks held out Karl-Anthony Towns from Tuesday's victory due to knee soreness, and you have to wonder if it was to play him tonight or to give him multiple games off before the playoffs.

The Knicks have also been playing without Cam Payne, Miles McBride, and Jalen Brunson. Ian Begley reported that Brunson's realistic return could be on Saturday or Sunday. This aligns with some postgame comments from Josh Hart where he said "JB, Cam, Deuce don't think gonna be ready." Tyler Kolek should continue to get some run at the point.

One player that has excelled in this matchup against the Knicks is De'Andre Hunter. Hunter's points prop is set at 12.5, and he's exceeded this mark in 8 of his last 9 games against the Knicks. The Knicks continue to over-help, and it allows spot up shooters and cutters to find success. I'll grab Hunter to score 10+ points as part of my same game parlay..

The Cavaliers have been a wrecking ball this season and have been excellent against the league's best teams. They are 14-6 with a +5.5 point differential. Compare this to the Knicks who are 6-13 with a -4.9 point differential. The Knicks have struggled against the league's best.

The Knicks are in a poor schedule spot. They are just 2-10 ATS with no rest and 4-12 ATS with a rest disadvantage. Couple this with their record against the top teams in the league, and this is a brutal spot for New York. I'll lay the points with the Cavaliers.

For my same game parlay, I'll take Hunter 10+ points, Mobley 7+ Rebounds, and Donovan Mitchell 20+ Points.
