Moneyline

My Knicks vs. Kings best bet is on New York Moneyline, with the best line currently available at BetMGM. But as always, make sure to shop for the best line using our live NBA odds page.

Spread

I'm not betting either side of the spread in tonight's contest. Instead, I'd rather take some extra juice on the Knicks' moneyline.

Over/Under

I will also be staying away from the total in this matchup.

My Pick: Knicks Moneyline (-145)

Knicks vs. Kings Preview

The Knicks face off against the Sacramento Kings as they continue their Western Conference road trip. There is a bit of a damper on the Knicks' prospects right now after Jalen Brunson's injury while the Kings are looking to escape the Play-In Tournament.

The Knicks are without Jalen Brunson (ankle) and he is expected to miss at least the next two weeks. The Kings will continue to miss Domantas Sabonis (hamstring) while Malik Monk (toe) may be able to play after missing Sunday's matchup against the Clippers.

Brunson's absence is significant for the Knicks. He's the clear primary engine of the offense and they will need to search for an identity without him. The silver lining is that they need to do this for the Playoffs and the Knicks could desperately use someone else to create and generate offense for them without Brunson on the floor.

This season, without Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns has seen the most significant bump to his scoring with a near 50% increase from 28.8 per 100 to 43.2 points per 100 possessions, per PBPStats. Cameron Payne, Miles McBride, and Josh Hart all see significant bumps in assist rate without Brunson as well.

The Kings remain without Sabonis, who is a key distributor and the best rebounder in the league right now while averaging over 14 per game. Without Sabonis, they've been playing Jonas Valanciunas extended minutes and he saw 42 last night against the Clippers in Overtime. This is a tough spot for him against KAT who can stretch the floor and attack from the perimeter.

Knicks vs. Kings Prediction

The Knicks dismantled the Kings earlier this season 143-120 but it was due to a nearly 50% shooting performance from beyond the arc and the Knicks dominated on the glass with a 53-38 advantage. Here, without Sabonis, the Kings may have more difficulties.

The Kings are just 3-8 ATS with zero rest and 4-11 with a rest disadvantage. Neither team is particularly strong ATS this season; however, the Knicks should be looking to bounce back against a team with a rest disadvantage.

For my same game parlay, I'll take Kat 25+ Points, KAT 10+ Rebounds, and Hart 5+ Assists.

Best Bet: Knicks Moneyline (-145)

Same Game Parlay Picks

  • Karl-Anthony Towns 25+ Points
  • Karl-Anthony Towns 10+ Rebounds
  • Josh Hart 5+ Assists

Parlay Payout: -110
