Trade Deadline Aftermath: Reporting from the Streets of Boston article feature image

Feb. 7 at 3 p.m: The moment the 2019 NBA trade deadline expired.

In the final hour, all hell broke loose. The Markelle Fultz era is over in Philadelphia. Marc Gasol is a … Toronto Raptor? But the biggest news of all is Anthony Davis remains a New Orleans Pelican.

The Lakers did not get their man, and subsequently, the Boston Celtics are now in the running — permitted to trade for Davis without having to include Kyrie Irving in the deal due to the Rose Rule.

To up the drama, the Lakers just so happened to be visiting the Celtics a few hours after the trade deadline ended and had themselves a World War III.

We took to the streets of Boston before the game to see how Lakers and Celtics fans felt about how everything played out.
