Lakers vs. Timberwolves Game 4 Preview

I believe in the adage “role players shoot better at home.” What I also believe is that it’s usually only for one game, and then they turn back into, you know, role players.

If you lose the first game, they step up in the second. There tends to be a little dropoff if they win that first game. Jaden McDaniels is playing a little over his head offensively.

Now, it’s easy when you’re guarded by a healthy, engaged Luka Doncic, let alone the vomit fountain that Luka was in Game 3. Some of the possessions were truly laughable. But McDaniels is also known to wildly swing from game to game.

On the other hand, the Lakers created great looks consistently in Game 3 and just missed them. The Wolves blitzed Luka Doncic at the level, and he made great passes to shooters who just missed.

The Lakers are likely to limit Jaxson Hayes’ minutes. He’s playing drop coverage and getting destroyed in it. They should have him switching, but have little to no confidence in him to do so.

However, they are winning the non-Hayes minutes by a lot. Even if they just change his rotation to the bench, there are chances.

This series has looked like the Wolves are a much better team. The truth is, they’re only a little better. But they got off to a great start while the Lakers were lethargic in Game 1, and then lost the predictable first road playoff game. I think we'll see the Lakers bounce back and get the win in Game 4 this afternoon.

Lakers vs. Timberwolves Parlay Picks for Saturday

Luka Doncic Over 7.5 Assists (+110)

As I mentioned above, the Timberwolves are blitzing Luka more-and-more, and are going to believe they can get away with it.

Luka will make better and sharper passes after two days of IV treatment, and the Lakers will knock down a few more.
