Magic vs. Pelicans Preview

By Chip Chirimbes

The Magic have won six straight matchups against the Pelicans, including a win back in November, bringing their record to 8-2 in the past 10 meetings between these two teams.

But, the Magic have dropped six of their last seven entering tonight, and only have one win in the past 21 days.

The Pelicans haven't been any better of late, dropping five of their last six games. However, they are coming off a win over the Clippers in their latest outing.

With the return of Zion Williamson, the Pelicans are actually a pretty decent squad.

This game should be closer to a pick'em, as Orlando owns a record of 12-20 on the road and New Orleans is 12-20 at home. I'll take the points with the Pelicans.

Best Bet: Pelicans +3 (-112)

Magic vs. Pelicans Betting Predictions

By Kyle Murray

It has been a brutal stretch of late for Franz Wagner and the Magic, which has led to a slight downtick on this line, as it was consistently around 29.5 in recent weeks.

He now gets a great matchup for a bounce-back, as the Pelicans have the 28th-ranked defense, and have allowed the 5th-most points and 3rd-most assists per game.

I have Wagner projected for 27.4 points alone, while also adding 4.9 assists in this spot.

Pick: Franz Wagner Over 28.5 Points & Assists (-115)

Same Game Parlay Picks

  • Pelicans +3
  • Franz Wagner Over 28.5 Points & Assists

Parlay Payout: +294
