Dallas Mavericks vs Brooklyn Nets NBA Monday Preview
The Nets have been able to stay inside of several spreads recently, as they have now covered in five in a row and seven of their last eight, but are probably going to have to win this one outright for their backers to collect, which may appear to be a tall order for a team that's lost 13 of its last 15 games.
However, a list of recent foes reads like a playoff lineup: Lakers, Cavs, Hawks, Celtics (twice), Pacers (twice). And in each of those games, Brooklyn covered the spread.
The Nets do not seem to miss top scorer Cam Thomas, as they have embraced a more-patient approach from head coach Jordi Fernandez. Different Nets have stepped up lately, too. It was Zaire Williams and Trendon Watford, respectively, pacing the two near-misses but covers at Indiana in the past four days.
Meanwhile, the depleted Mavericks have lost 9 of their last 11 games, and most of their frontline is still sidelined, though Anthony Davis is getting close to a return. Take the points with Brooklyn.
