The Miami Heat (3-3) visit the Phoenix Suns (6-1) on Wednesday, tipping off at 8 p.m. from the Footprint Center in Phoenix. The game will be broadcast on League Pass.

The Phoenix Suns are 5.5-point favorites over the Miami Heat on the spread (Suns -5.5), with the over/under at 222.5 points. The Suns are -190 favorites on the moneyline to win outright, while the Miami Heat are +160 to pull off the upset.

Let's dive into my Heat vs. Suns predictions and NBA picks for Wednesday, November 6.

Heat vs. Suns Preview

The Miami Heat just dropped a game vs the Sacramento Kings — a nail biter that ended with Domantas Sabonis making a game-winning shot with one second remaining. On the other side, the Suns held on to win at Philadelphia as Paul George returned to the lineup.

The key difference between these teams is the offensive production. Under new head coach Mike Budenholzer, the Suns have cleaned up their shot choice, shooting more than five more 3s per game, and are playing smart offense in the 4th quarter with Tyus Jones running the point.

Just two weeks into the season, the Miami Heat are a bottom-three team in Pace and trail the Suns in both offensive and defensive net rating.

If the Suns are playing faster with a stronger offense and defense, I want to back them below the 6 — the most important NBA betting number and the most common outcome over the past three seasons.

Heat vs. Suns Prediction

The line for this game opened at Suns -5 and has climbed to a consensus -5.5.

Because of the impending injury news to Jaime Jaquez Jr., who is such a key piece to the Heat's switching defense, I really like Phoenix and would play any number below -6. You can find Suns -5.5 everywhere, and although the vig ranges from between -107 and -115, I still want Phoenix side at those prices.

If this game closes at -6, we'll have obtained the most important closing line value hook in NBA betting.

Pick: Suns -5.5 (-107 BetRivers)
