The Charlotte Hornets and New York Knicks matchup for a Martin Luther King Jr. Day matinee at the Garden.

The 'bing bong' Knicks have won five of their last six and are finally starting to look like the team that excited the fan base in 2021.

The Hornets, meanwhile, have been far streakier. This is, after all, the team with simultaneously one of the best offenses in the NBA and one of the worst defenses, according to NBA Stats. Charlotte has beaten the Bucks twice this month, but also has recent losses to the 8-36 Magic and the Wizards.

Still, the sharp bettors are targeting the Hornets spread for this contest.

Hornets vs. Knicks Sharp Action Pick

The smart money is betting that the Hornets win or lose by fewer than two points.

The best price on the market is with FanDuel at Hornets +2. The rest of the market has already moved back to Hornets +1.5 — where this line opened.

If you don't use FanDuel, with +1.5 the consensus price, you can just roll with the moneyline. Most other books are pricing this around Hornets +110.

There might be a solid opportunity to live bet the Hornets, too, should they go down early in this game.

While the individual bets on this contest are split 50/50, roughly 68% of the money is on the Hornets to win or cover. That means sharp bettors are slapping big money down on Charlotte Monday afternoon.

Sharp Money Pick: Hornets +2 (FanDuel) or Hornets +110 or better.
