The NBA might not return until Thursday, but that doesn't mean there isn't betting value on the board right now.
Our experts from the "Buckets" podcast came together and dished out their best bets for regular-season win totals during the second half of the season. And as it turns out, all four picks are fading a team looking to make some noise in the postseason.
Check out all four of our best win total bets for the rest of the NBA season below.
Denver Nuggets
Under 55.5 Wins
By Matt Moore
I have bet the Nuggets' under a few times this season, and their metrics agree with me.
They're coming off a three-game skid with two blowouts and a blown lead before the All-Star break. Although I already have a big position on their under, at this moment I still think there's value on the under.
We're entering a time where we're going to see more injuries, more rest and more teams reserving themselves for a final push to the playoffs. In general, I look for unders at this moment in time.
Phoenix Suns
Under 48.5 Wins
By Jim Turvey
The Suns just lost Bradley Beal to another injury, and they have been very pedestrian when missing any of their Big 3.
They have the hardest remaining schedule in the league by a fair amount, and they will be in the mix to push for big wins down the stretch.
They've struggled against top-tier teams, and by spread differential, they're one of the bottom teams in the league. When all their guys are healthy, I really like this team, but that's rarely the case.
The Suns had a big luck factor in their first half of the season. They played by far the softest schedule in the league when just Kevin Durant and Devin Booker were out there. I have their total at around 47, so I see value at this number.
Milwaukee Bucks
Under 51.5 Wins
By Jim Turvey
The Bucks are another team that we've been under all season.
They got Doc Rivers in town and are 3-7 with him up to this point. They have Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo, which certainly gets you some wins in big moments, but I think they've gotten extra lucky.
Their guard defense is abysmal, and this number is too big for me.
Miami Heat
Under 46.5 Wins
By Joe Dellera
I still think you can fade Miami a little bit. Basketball Reference has them projected at a 44-38 record and eighth in the East.
I look at this team with the amount of injuries they've dealt with, and at 46.5, that's still a pretty big ask.
Jimmy Butler has missed time, and we're looking at a team that doesn't really turn it on until the playoffs. They're comfortable playing out the regular season, and I don't think they're concerned about playing anybody in the Play-In Tournament.
They're currently seventh in the East, and I think they're in a position to want to be healthy for the postseason.
