Cavaliers ML, Jarrett Allen Double Double (+115)

Jarrett Allen has gotten seven straight double doubles, including one last game against the Hawks.

In that last game, Atlanta pulled off the upset, forcing the Cavs to drop to 17-2 on the year and handing them their first loss at home.

Everyone thinks Cleveland will bounce back in the rematch here. The line moved from -3.5 to -7.5 already, so I'll just tap the moneyline on here and make it a double double / ML parlay for the former All-Star.

I simply don't see the Cavs dropping another to the Hawks at home after Wednesday. The Hawks already got their game.

Donovan Mitchell Over 35.5 Points, Rebounds & Assists (-115)

On Wednesday, the Cavaliers jumped out to a 19-point lead in the first quarter. However, the Hawks rallied for a 135-124 victory to hand the Cavaliers just their second loss. Today, they meet in Atlanta for an important game with the Hawks up a half game on the Cavaliers in Group C for the Cup. With that in mind, I am expecting Donovan Mitchell to rise to the forefront today.

Mitchell had 30 points, four rebounds, and seven assists in Wednesday's game. Mitchell has now recorded at least 40 PRA in five of his last seven games overall and five of his last seven games against the Hawks. A scorer of Mitchell's caliber is certainly capable of hitting this line with just his points.

He has scored 30 points in four of his last seven games. He has reached that plateau in three of his last five games against the Hawks, including two games with 40 points. Additionally, he is averaging 37.5 points in four career NBA Cup games. Mitchell is +320 to score 35 points and +700 for 40 points on DraftKings.

I like the PRA combo because in addition to his scoring, Mitchell has consistently reached four rebounds and four assists against the Hawks. Atlanta is also 27th or worse in points, rebounds, and assists allowed this season. It plays at the league's second-fastest pace, while Cleveland ranks first in offensive rating, which has led to a lofty total of 244 points set for this matchup.

With this being both a revenge spot for the Cavaliers and must-win for the NBA Cup, I like Mitchell to cash this PRA combo today and offer value on his solo points prop as well.

Pick: Donovan Mitchell Over 35.5 Points, Rebounds & Assists (-115)

Jrue Holiday Over 18.5 Points, Rebounds & Assists (-115)

The Celtics face off against the Bulls in a game with NBA Cup implications. If the Hawks upset the Cavaliers earlier in the day, then the Celtics will be pushing for point differential to advance, if the Cavaliers win, then the Celtics will win the group if they defeat Chicago.

Chicago plays at the fastest-Pace in the league with the third-worst Adjusted Defense in the league, per Dunk and Threes.

Jrue Holiday should pick apart this Chicago team in a well rounded effort. On the season, he is averaging 12.2 points, 3.9 assists, and 4.1 rebounds for 20.1 PRA. However, he’s been dynamic against this Bulls team over the past few seasons, averaging 29.6 PRA since 2022. Now, this is a Pace up spot in a game Boston should be able to take.

Jrue has exceeded this line of 18.5 PRA in 71% of wins, and 78% of double digit wins. I’ll back him to put forth a well-rounded matchup in tonight's matchup against Chicago.

Pick: Jrue Holiday Over 18.5 Points, Rebounds & Assists (-115)

Under 243.5 (-110)

The Celtics and Bulls meet in an important cup game and this is going to be a game where the defensive intensity is turned up.

Boston finds itself in the midst of another run, and they're stepping up defensively. Being big favorites and clearly the better team, the Celtics are going to dictate the tempo of this game and they'll slow it down on the Bulls.

Boston gives up under 110 points per game defensively, which is rare in today's NBA game. They'll have Chicago off their rhythm and it'll result in some sloppy offensive play from them.

Look for this game to slow down and expect transition buckets to be a rare occurrence. Grab the under.

Pick: Under 243.5 (-110)

Kings vs. Trail Blazers

The Kings have disappointed this season at 9-10 but Sacramento did score a nice road win at Minnesota on Wednesday night to snap a four-game slide. That 115-point performance was the highest output for Sacramento since November 16. This is a second straight road game and an NBA Cup game and with the Kings already 0-2 in group play it may be difficult to get up for this game.

Portland isn't expected to be a playoff threat this season but the Blazers are 1-1 in Cup games and despite a 7-12 overall record, the Blazers are 4-4 in the past eight games through a difficult schedule. Portland has recent wins over Minnesota and Houston and is .500 at home as 11 of 19 games this season have been road games to wear on the record. Portland lost by 13 in Sacramento in October but won in the team's last home meeting in this series 130-113 as a similarly priced home underdog.

Sacramento is just 7-11-1 ATS this season including 2-7 ATS in the past nine games. The Kings have struggled despite the #26 ranked schedule in the NBA right now with Sacramento having played just one game vs. the league's top 10 with every other team in the NBA facing at least three such games.

Portland is 1-6 vs. the league's top 10 facing a grueling schedule that rates as the third toughest in the league right now and the Blazers have as many wins (with four) vs. the league's top 16 teams as Sacramento has. Going back to last March Portland is 8-3 ATS as a home underdog of five or more points including 4-2 ATS this season with S/U wins in three of the past four instances.

Pick: Blazers +7 (-110)
