Pelicans vs. Timberwolves
I am riding hot this week on best bets here and looking to go undefeated with my third play of the week, this time taking the under in Pelicans-Timberwolves.
This is a repeat matchup of the Pelicans upset win on Wednesday, and we typically see less scoring in these schedule spots because the defensive assignments remain the same, and defensive players are a little quicker to react to offensive tendencies.
Gobert is back for the Wolves, Trey Murphy is out for the Pelicans, so the best defender reenters the lineup, and the best shooter leaves. Fade the recent scoring outputs of these teams and take the under, good to 228.
Pick: Under 228.5 (-125)
Rockets vs. Heat
The Heat are scuffling to the finish line this season, but are still in the hunt for a playoff berth.
With the departure of Jimmy Butler, Tyler Herro is now their best wing player and has increased scoring responsibility to try and help this team win on a nightly basis.
He will have some games where he pops on the boards, but this isn't his primary contribution. I'm looking for him to stay under again versus a tough Houston defense.
Pick: Tyler Herro Under 4.5 Rebounds (-115)
Pistons vs. Mavericks
This depleted Dallas roster is actually going to have some viable guards tonight. Brandon Williams in particular has played well and earned extra minutes.
Spencer Dinwiddie isn't going to play 42 minutes again like he did on Wednesday when he was the only point guard available. Even during this stretch of increased playing time, Dinwiddie is averaging only 14.1 points per game in March.
On Wednesday, when we knew everyone would be out, his points line maxed out at 16.5. Some books closed at 15.5. And that was in a much more favorable matchup.
Pick: Spencer Dinwiddie Under 17.5 Points (-115)
Cavaliers vs. Suns
By Alex Hinton
Here's one thing that we haven't been able to say all season: the Cavaliers have lost three games in a row. However, don't blame Evan Mobley. In Wednesday night's loss to the Kings, he had 31 points and 10 rebounds.
