The Spurs have won and covered in two of the first three meetings against Portland this season. However, all three meetings thus far had Victor Wembanyama in the lineup. Literally and figuratively, Wembanyama leaves a big absence in the Spurs’ lineup. Since the All-Star break, the Spurs are just 9-16 without their franchise player.

Meanwhile, Portland is returning home from a five-game road trip. They have covered their last three games, winning two of them. They are 6-4 ATS in their last 10 games.

Amid injuries, Deni Avdija and Shaedon Sharpe have led the way of late. Since the All-Star break, the fourth-year man is averaging 23.3 points, 9.7 rebounds, and 5.3 assists while shooting 50.8% from the field. Meanwhile Sharpe has averaged 20.6 points and 5.6 rebounds since the All-Star break and has gotten to 20 points in five of his last seven games.

Avdija is questionable tonight with a thumb injury. He also carried that designation before Friday’s game and then went for 37 points and 11 rebounds against the Bulls. If he is available tonight, I expect the Blazers to cover at home.

Pick: Trail Blazers -4.5 (-110)

The Knicks face off against the Suns today, and it’s been reported that Jalen Brunson will make his return in this contest. I do not see a circumstance where Brunson returns and is not at full health. He is far too important for this Knicks team to rush him back.

This is the back-end of a back-to-back, and this is a spot that New York has struggled with all season – they are the worst ATS team in the league on zero days of rest. They will need the boost from a fresh Brunson.

Phoenix has the fourth-worst defense in the league, per Dunks and Threes, and racked up a 36-point double double against Phoenix earlier this season.

Brunson has cleared this line in 9 of the last 10 games he’s played and in 74% of games this season. I’ll back him on Sunday.

Pick: Jalen Brunson Over 28.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-120)

Malik Monk went under this number on Friday against the Hornets, but only because he was limited to 23 minutes in a blowout game script.

Two nights prior, he was stretched out to 35 minutes, signaling that he's finally fully healthy in his return from injury for the Kings.

This season, Monk has eclipsed this number in 39 of 54 games in which he's played 25+ minutes, and 36 of 43 games in which he's played 30+ minutes.

Assuming a somewhat competitive game script on Sunday against the Cavaliers, the math clearly favors the over.

Pick: Malik Monk Over 22.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-120)

Isaiah Collier has recorded 20+ Points + Assists (PA) in five of his last six games, and his over has been one of my favorite bets all year.
