The early market has indicated an Over spot for this game, and I completely agree.

The Mavericks play up-tempo when Kyrie is the lead guard, this was a known betting angle on games Luka would sit.

Now, they are also missing two defensive studs in Dereck Lively and PJ Washington, and might be integrating AD into their defensive scheme if he plays, going up against a completely healthy Boston team.

I think this number closes above 230, and I'm happy to play it below that.

Pick: Over 229.5 (-110)

I noted this in my single game guide, but I like this bet.

Amen Thompson has cleared this line in three straight games and in five of his last eight.

Julius Randle being out should offer Thompson more rebounding opportunities.

He's averaging 10 boards per game since late December — a 19-game run — and he's at 6.1 assists per game over his last 10.

Minnesota is top-10 in fewest rebounds and assists allowed per game, but Thompson has been that good. I wouldn't play it beyond 14.5, though.

Pick: Amen Thompson Over 13.5 Rebounds + Assists (-120)

The Lakers take on the Golden State Warriors on Thursday night. Both teams have made monster moves leading into the trade deadline which has left the rosters in flux.

One player I’m targeting for the Lakers is Rui Hachimura. Rui sees a bump in his scoring of about 22% on a per possession basis when he’s gotten to play without Anthony Davis.

Over the last two seasons, he sees his scoring jump from 12.7 ppg to 18.7 ppg, and his rebounds per game climb from 4.4 to 6.3 in 11 games without AD.

While the Lakers have Jaxson Hayes, the Warriors are also a bit undersized and I can see some more small ball opportunities for the Lakers in this game with LeBron and Rui as the primary bigs.

In those 11 games without AD, Rui has exceeded this 20.5 line in 8 of them with two double doubles.

Pick: Rui Hachimura Over 20.5 Points + Rebounds (-125)

We will fade the public and ride with the Kings today.

Sacramento is in a strong bounce back spot after a poor showing at home last night against the Magic.

The one positive to the blowout loss was the Kings starters got to rest in the fourth quarter and will be fresh for tonight’s contest.

Portland is the hottest team in the NBA as they have won nine of their last 10 games.

However, regression will likely hit the Blazers at home tonight.

Pick: Kings Moneyline (+100)

Magic vs. Nuggets

The Magic lost to the Nuggets by 13 at home back in January, in a game where Paolo Banchero only scored 10 points. The game was actually very close throughout, except for one outlier blowout third quarter.

Orlando can hang here though on the second night of a back-to-back, as they won outright last night in Sacramento. They match up well with Denver since they are top-5 in the league at defending spot-up shooters and transition baskets, two things that are an integral part of the Nuggets' offense.

Jokic and company have slipped defensively this season, but it hasn't burned them much as the offense has been elite once again.

While they may extend their winning streak tonight, the line is still a bit hefty, as they have been right around .500 as a home favorite this season.

Lastly, we have a nice situational system in play: Road Underdogs when facing a team coming off of a blowout win (20 pts or more) are 151-95-4 ATS (61.4%) over the last 10 seasons. Give me Orlando to cover.

Pick: Magic +7.5 (-115)

Pacers vs. Clippers

Clippers -5 (-110)

The Pacers had a four-game winning streak snapped at Portland losing 112-89 and the four teams they beat were mediocre.

They're 28-21 on the year and 24-24-1 against the spread, compared to the Clippers who are 29-20 ATS, a record better than their 28-22 record.

The Clippers have lost their last two. Their last loss against the Lakers was pathetic. What happened to this team? The struggles look more like a team that was going to lose somebody in a trade or have a major shake up.

The Clippers are old enough to know when when it's go time. Clippers to cover.

Pick: Clippers -5 (-110)

Today, we are getting a little gross and buying the Bad News Kings are on the second night of a back-to-back after getting throttled by the Magic, who had lost 9/10 games prior their old star De'Aaron Fox made his debut for the Spurs and looked great.

The Blazers are riding HIGH, and I think they have officially lost any value in the market.

Give me the Kings in a bounce-back spot.

Pick: Kings Moneyline (-105)
