Jazz vs. Warriors
I think this under is a strong play for Utah vs Golden State.
The Warriors offense has been struggling recently; whether that's a secondary playmaker next to Curry, Buddy Hields shooting regression, or injuries to Kuminga and Draymond.
The Jazz are on the second night of a back-to-back and were without both Walker Kessler and John Collins in the first leg against the Bucks.
If either of the bigs plays, which I would expect at least one to be active since they were both late scratches, then the total dips because of the increased rim protection and rebounding for Utah.
I think this total closes around 227.5 and would play anything above 228 towards the under.
Pick: Under 229 (-105); Bet to Under 228
Lakers vs. 76ers
Tuesday night's TNT game will feature a Lakers team that is riding a four-game winning streak and a battered 76ers team that will be without Joel Embiid and Andre Drummond. Yikes.
That means that Anthony Davis will be primarily defended by 6-foot-8 Guerschon Yabusele for most of the game.
While Yabusele is strong and physical, Davis has a substantial height and length advantage, and thus, should have a big day on the boards.
Davis has gotten to this number in three of his past four games, including in his last outing against Charlotte when he pulled down a mind-boggling 23 rebounds.
The sole game in that stretch in which Davis failed to record 13 rebounds was against the Celtics.
A large portion of that can be attributed to the fact that Davis was constantly pulled from the paint by Porzingis and Tatum, two players who shoot a ton of 3s. Long shot, long rebound, right?
Davis will have plenty of rebounding opportunities against Philly.
Pick: Anthony Davis Over 12.5 Rebounds (-130)
Lakers vs. 76ers
By Joe Dellera
The Lakers play the 76ers and this is their second game in as many days. Although the Lakers have no indicated that anyone is resting, there is always the chance that at least one of LeBron or AD will take a rest.
Austin Reaves has been brilliant for the Lakers this season and has really stepped up after the DLo trade. Since January 1st, he is averaging 18.4 points and 6.9 assists while exceeding this 6.5 assists line in 6/12 games. He has had a high floor though with 6+ assists in 9/12.
This spot against the 76ers is exploitable. They are bottom 10 defensively and they allow the 10th most assists per game to their opponents. Reaves can get to this line in the normal course but if anyone is ruled out his potential will jump.
I’ll grab over 6.5 assists.
Pick: Austin Reaves Over 6.5 Assists (-190)
Rockets vs. Hawks
By Ray Monohan
While everyone is expecting a letdown for the Rockets, this team has value as they keep on rolling.
Houston is off a huge win last night in Boston at the buzzer as they've now taken down the Cavs twice and Celtics over the last week and some change.
Atlanta's defense is amongst the worst in the NBA, conceding nearly 119 ppg. The Rockets are rolling right now and they have put together a solid string of play thanks to their dominance on both ends of the floor.
Atlanta is going to struggle to slow this team down as they have so many weapons that can come at defenses from many different angles. Lay the points here.
