Derrick White Over 12.5 Points (-120)

By Joe Dellera

The Celtics face off against the Raptors today and one player to buy low on is Derrick White.

White has struggled a bit since returning from illness, but now gets an elite matchup in a Pace-up spot against the Raptors who are a sieve defensively.

They are highly susceptible to the 3-ball, and White can get back on track here.

When these teams met earlier this season, he scored 18 and 16 points.

This number is too low for someone who has exceeded 12.5 points in 76% of games this season while averaging 16.4 points per game.

I’ll grab White to exceed 12.5 points tonight.

Pick: Derrick White Over 12.5 Points (-120)

Under 219.5 (-110)

The Knicks are 26-15 on the season. They've lost two of their last three though, including a 124-119 setback at home to the Pistons last time out.

That's significant to note though for two different reasons, as the Knicks have seen the total go Under the number in three of their last four games when coming off a SU/ATS home loss as a favorite, and also in eight of their last 12 after playing to three or more straight Overs in a row.

Philadelphia is just 15-23 after three straight losses. The 76ers have lost five straight ATS now after a 118-102 loss here to the Thunder just last night.

Expect fatigue to be an issue for Philly here in the second game of the back-to-back. But the Sixers are desperate to break the slide, and I expect them to come out and set the tone defensively.

A great situational play on the Under.

Pick: Under 219.5 (-110)

Max Christie Over 1.5 Assists (-120)

By Bryan Fonseca

Max Christie has played 30 or more minutes in all but one of his last nine games, and up until his last outing, he had two or more assists in seven straight contests.

The number is low, and Christie has been clearing it way more often than not.

Note, I'm not playing this at 2.5, but considering seven straight overs, as he ended with exactly 2 six times in a row, the prop should stay here.

In fact, if there's a 2.5 out there in the market, I'd even consider the Under.

But overall, Christie is getting a ton of minutes, and the Heat allow 27.1 assists per 100 possessions, which is 11th most in the NBA.

So, why not?

Pick: Max Christie Over 1.5 Assists (-120)

Rockets vs. Nuggets

Nuggets +1 (-110)

The spot favors Houston, who is catching Denver in a back-to-back spot after trouncing Dallas last night and then flying back to The Mile High City.

The Nuggets have won four games in a row both SU and ATS, including a 126-103 home win over the Clippers, a 124-105 home win over Brooklyn, and a 112-101 win at Dallas and a 118-99 win at Dallas.

The Rockets are playing outstanding ball, but I'm not turning down the Nuggets as home underdogs.

Pick: Nuggets +1 (-110)

Heat vs. Lakers

Lakers -4

By Michael Fiddle

This is a prime spot to both back the Lakers and fade the Heat.

The Lakers are rested after having some games postponed last week, while the Heat are on the end of a 6 game road trip with more reports of the Butler saga emerging.

The Lakers last two losses are to the Mavericks, who shot nearly 50% from 3-point territory on crazy volume and won with variance, and the Spurs, who were down 10 to the Lakers with 2 minutes left in the 3rd quarter and took over.

Both of those losses feel like anomalies, and now we can buy back in on the Lakers at a reasonable discounted number.

This line should be -5.5, and I would play it down to Lakers -5.

Pick: Lakers -4

Hornets vs. Jazz

Utah Jazz Logo
Jazz +5.5 (-115)

By Brian Edwards

Utah (10-28 straight up, 20-18 against the spread) might be without four key players, as Lauri Markkanen, John Collins, Keyonte George and Johnny Juzang are all listed as questionable.

However, the Jazz were without all four of those guys (and Walker Kessler, who averages 10.8 points, 11.4 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game) Monday night, and still beat a 13-win Brooklyn team 112-111 in overtime.

Kessler will be back tonight.

The Jazz are 10-2 ATS with four outright wins in their last 12 games as an underdog. Charlotte is 1-2 SU and 0-3 ATS in three games as a favorite this season.

The Hornets have lost 19 of their last 21 games, and one of the two wins was by only four points and wouldn't have covered the spread for this game.

Pick: Jazz +5.5 (-115)
