The Suns take on the Celtics in Boston as Phoenix looks for a three-game winning streak. Boston is trying to bounce back from a disappointing 102-96 loss to the short-handed Chicago Bulls.
Phoenix has been excellent Against The Spread (ATS) while the Celtics have been just OK. At the same time, Boston has a much better ATS Home record at 16-13, which bodes well for them on Thursday night.
Boston will likely be operating without the services of All-Star wing Jaylen Brown, who is doubtful with a shoulder injury.
The Celtics are 3-2 without Brown on the year and will need an even greater collective effort to slow down the dynamic Phoenix backcourt of Devin Booker and Chris Paul without Brown's physicality on the floor.
Brad Stevens will no doubt have an excellent plan in place, but the talent gap could simply be too much for the Celtics to overcome sans Brown. Either way, look for Marcus Smart to play a large hand in whatever the game plan is to slow down the Suns' offensive attack.
Our latest PRO Report suggests that even without Brown, Boston has enough in the tank to at least keep things close on Thursday night.
