The 2020 NBA Draft Lottery is finally here! At 8:30 p.m. ET Thursday on ESPN, 14 teams will find out where they are picking in this year's NBA Draft, which is set to take place on Oct. 16.
Like every other event on the NBA calendar, it feels a bit strange to be paying attention to NBA lottery odds in August, but that has been 2020 in a nutshell.
Three teams are tied at the top with the same chances (14%) to land the No. 1 overall pick ever since the NBA changed its format last season. The Golden State Warriors, owners of the league's worst record this season, the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Cleveland Cavaliers each have 5-1 odds at DraftKings to get the top pick.
As for who the top overall pick could be when October rolls around, the odds are pointing to Anthony Edwards of Georgia — he's a -118 favorite as of Thursday — with former Memphis big man James Wiseman (+200) and LaMelo Ball (+450) just behind him.
