Bronny James has been medically cleared to be drafted if a team decides to select him in the 2024 NBA Draft, according to EPSN's Jonathan Givony and Adrian Wojnarowski. The news comes as James and the rest of the draft hopefuls participate in the draft combine in Chicago.

Draftniks have said this is among the weaker drafts in recent memory and LeBron James has made it clear that he would like to play with or against his son in the NBA. Bronny's high profile as a top 20-ranked high school player and being the son of an All-time great NBA player has his name in the mix for draft night.

So sportsbooks have released NBA Draft odds for who will select Bronny in the draft if he decides to follow through. Here's a look at the latest odds from FanDuel.

James had a tumultuous freshman season at USC. He suffered a cardiac arrest in the summer of 2023, missed the first eight games of his college season before he was cleared to return then finished the season coming off the bench in the final eight games.

His stats were underwhelming: 4.8 points per game on 36.6% shooting from the floor. James came in smaller in terms of his combine measurements than he had previously been listed. He measured just over 6-foot-1 without shoes — a bit undersized even as a guard — with a 6-foot-7 wingspan.

The fact that he's healthy enough to compete is amazing news after his health scare, but some mock drafts don't mention James' name even in the second round. The Ringer has the Lakers selecting Bronny in their latest mock draft, but it is strictly based on the idea of keeping LeBron on the team.

LeBron James still plays for the Lakers, so it only makes sense that if any team is going to draft his son, who isn't ready for the NBA, it would be them.

The next batch of teams includes several franchises that are hoping to lure James if he declines his player option and tests free agency. The Heat have hinted at their concerns with Jimmy Butler's future with the team and the 76ers are expected to have a large amount of cap space. We'll see how that impacts where Bronn James lands.
