Big money bettors have been betting the Nuggets to lift the trophy. The Nuggets are getting just 41% of the public bets but a whopping 79% of the handle, while the Heat are getting 59% of the public bets and 21% of the handle, according to BetMGM.
According to that report, it's fair to say the general public is interested in betting the Heat while the pro bettors believe they have an advantage with the Nuggets.
The Nuggets are currently 8.5-point favorites in Game 1.
Bettors can also bet on how the series will finish. The Nuggets to win 4-0 is the most popular bet so far at +450 odds. The Nuggets to sweep is currently getting 41% of the series bets, according to BetMGM.
The Nuggets swept the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference Finals. It took them six games to defeat the Phoenix Suns before that and five games to beat the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round.
